Don't write Mav's off just yet

 
Most of us immediately wrote the Dallas Mavericks off once we saw reigning NBA MVP Dirk Nowitzki fall to the hardwood in pain on Saturday. I admit, I was one of those people. I knew from watching the replay that Nowitzki would be sidelined for a few weeks at minimum.  But don't give up hope just yet. Let me remind you the talent that is on this Dallas Mavericks roster. If tonight was any indication, Josh Howard is indeed back from his back injury. Howard scored 32 points to lead the Mav's past the Clippers, keeping the Mav's 1 1/2 games ahead of the Warriors for 7th place in the West.  With a dominating and aggressive Howard, it only makes newly aquired point guard Jason Kidd that much more deadlier. You've still got Jerry Stackhouse and Jason Terry at guard. Each one being able to score at a whim. And you've still got Deveon George, whether you want him or not, providing solid and at times incredible defense.  Adding the veteran leadership at backup point guard in Tyronn ... [link]
