Dusty hopes to be a man of health

If Dusty Dvoracek were coming out of college this year, the Bears would like to think he'd be a first-round pick. More likely, he'd be a medical liability who wouldn't make it onto some teams' boards. But the Bears believe he's a first-round talent, as good as almost any defensive tackle they could get in the draft, even if injuries his first two seasons have made him a question mark. [link]

Brian Urlacher To Retire If Bears Don't Re-Do His Deal? - GridironFans.com

Brian Urlacher (neck, back) has reportedly suggested that he may consider retirement if the Bears don't follow through on upgrading his contract. If he proves injury, Urlacher could keep the $13 million in bonuses he got upon signing his six-year extension in 2003. Urlacher Retire? See Ya...

The Bears won’t even blink at this. Urlacher has 4 years left on his deal and not an ounce of leverage. I understand trying to get a new deal. But Urlacher comes off as a petulant brat. And at this stage of the game, one that has an over-inflated opinion of himself. He’s just not that important anymore.
