Eagles, Falcons or Cardinals loom for champs

 
And now the wait begins The Giants now have two long weeks to sit on today’s meaningless 20-19 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and one long week to wait to find out who they’ll play in their first playoff game. It will either be the Arizona Cardinals (9-7), the Atlanta Falcons (11-5) or the Philadelphia Eagles (9-6-1). The NFC seedings are now set and it looks like this: 1.Giants (12-4), 2. Carolina Panthers (12-4), 3. Minnesota Vikings (10-6), 4. Cardinals, 5. Falcons, 6. Eagles. That means the wild-card games next weekend will be the Eagles at Minnesota and the Falcons at Arizona. The NFL re-seeds after the first round, so the Giants (12-4) will play host to the lowest remaining seed on either Jan. 10 or 11. If the Eagles beat the Vikings, then the Giants will play Philly for the third time this season. If the Vikings win that game, then the Giants get either the Falcons or the Cardinals.
