The Philadelphia Eagles made a run at signing wide receiver Randy Moss before he re-signed today with the New England Patriots. The Eagles had a bitter parting with another receiving diva, Terrell Owens. But they did reach a Super Bowl with Owens on their roster, and NFL sources said they offered Moss a deal worth more per season than the three-year, $27 million contract that he signed with the Patriots. philly.com 3/4/2008 — The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that Eagles coach Andy Reid spoke with Patriots WR Randy Moss today about joining the Eagles. The report says that the Eagles offered Randy Moss more than the $27M he got in New England. If this is true it gives fans in Philadelphia some hope that the Eagles might eventually land a true #1 WR.
