El Duque expected to make rehab start Thursday

Orlando Hernandez expects to make his first rehabilitation start Thursday for the St. Lucie Mets in the Florida State League. El Duque ran pretty hard in the Dolphin Stadium outfield the past two days, a good sign considering the bunion on his right big toe. Hernandez is able to be activated from the disabled list April 13, which means at least two starts for Mike Pelfrey. Pelfrey’s first start comes Saturday in Atlanta opposite Tom Glavine. [link]
