England asks FIFA to investigate Croatian racism

England asked FIFA to investigate allegations of racial abuse toward striker Emile Heskey by Croatian fans during Wednesday's World Cup qualifier, which officials in Zagreb described as "an expression of frustration." Derogatory chants were directed at Heskey in the Zagreb stadium after the striker was booked for a challenge on Croatia captain Niko Kovac during the second half of England's 4-1 victory. The Wigan player branded the fans "ignorant people" and said he tried to ignore it. (link)
