EPL Footballers Dominate UEFA Club Footballer Of The Year Awards

 
Among the 20 players nominated for the UEFA Club Player of the Year Awards 17 are from the Premier League. Manchester United lead the English pack. Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, and Edwin van der Sar are the six Manchester United players in the list. Chelsea are represented by Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Frank Lampard, John Terry, and Peter Cech.  Pepe Reina, Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard, and Fernando Torres (Liverpool), and Cesc Fabregas and, Manuel Almunia (Arsenal) are the other nominated players from England. The only other players to make it are Lionel Messi and Carlos Puyol from Barcelona and  Manuel Neuer, the Schalke 04 goalkeeper. (link)
