EPL Relegation Watch: Can Fulham Be Saved?

Last weekend’s 1-0 win over Everton sparked new life into Fulham’s fight against relegation.  But another away defeat, this time at the hands of Newcastle, has edged the Cottagers closer to the dreaded drop.   Roy Hodgson was undoubtedly hoping his side could build on last week’s victory over Everton.  And with Kevin Keegan yet to earn his first win with his old club, Newcastle seemed like the perfect opponent.    But goals from Mark Viduka and Michael Owen assured it was the same old story for Fulham’s traveling support.    With only seven games remaining, the Cottagers are four points from safety.  With Sunderland and Reading both earning valuable wins over the weekend, only Birmingham City and Bolton are within four points.    Unfortunately for Fulham, however, the majority of their remaining games are away from home.    And unless Fulham finally end their away woes then the prospect of relegation may ...
