There is a big banner hanging on the outside of Giants Stadium declaring that the Giants are the Super Bowl champions. That would seem to indicate they are the best team in football.
Just not according to ESPN.
The good folks at ESPN (and ESPN.com) came out with their Power Rankings recently and placed the Giants way down at No. 6. And while that’s up from No. 9, where they apparently ranked at the end of the 2007 regular season, it’s still behind the Patriots, Colts, Chargers, Cowboys and Jaguars.
Maybe they didn’t see the Super Bowl?
