Edgar Davids has been training with the Galaxy over the past couple days while on vacation in Los Angeles during the offseason. Davids is a personal friend of Galaxy manager Ruud Gullit, and has 74 caps for the Netherlands. Germany have big injury concerns with Torsten Frings and Lukas Podolski who is Germany's top goalscorer almost certain to miss out against Portugal. Frings has fractured ribs and Podolski has a calf injury.
