Turkey coach Fatih Terim said this week their greatest strength was they never give up but even he must have feared it was all over with a minute left of extra time in Friday's Euro 2008 quarter-final with Croatia. [link]

Turkey snatched victory from defeat for the third time at Euro 2008. With little time left in the match, Croatia went up 1-0 only to have Turkey tie seconds later on a strike from forward Semih Şentürk. Turkey won 3-1 on penalties after. Turkey will face Germany in one of the two semi-final matches.
