The Oakland Athletics suddenly have found some power -- and Dana Eveland did a stellar job shutting down Tampa Bay's talented lineup. Eveland pitched a three-hitter for his first career complete game, Jack Cust homered twice and the A's avoided being swept a home by the Tampa Bay Rays for the first time with a 9-1 win Wednesday.

Kid K was just dealing last night. 8:1 K/BB ratio is exactly what I want to see from Kazmir. He kept his pitch count low(97 pitches over 7 innings) by throwing 66% of his pitches for strikes.
