Eveland leads A's to opener win

 
Left-hander Dana Eveland turned in seven strong innings Friday at McAfee Coliseum, and Travis Buck's first home run since being recalled from the Minors was all the offense the A's needed in a 2-0 victory over the visiting Mariners. (link)
