Even Harder Knocks: Reviewing The 2008 Dallas Cowboys

 
The Cowboys opened the 2008 with high hopes to say the least. Many thought that they had all the talent and skill to go to the Super Bowl. Instead, they end their season at 9-7 and miss the playoffs. They haven’t made the big game since the 1995 season, and haven’t seen a win in January since the 1996 season. But the Cowboys went 13-3 last season and sere bringing back 13 Pro Bowlers, so many thought this was suppose to be THE year. Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones spent more than $135 million on team bonuses and guaranteed money on contract extensions to make sure the Cowboys were Super Bowl bound again. Not so much anymore, right? He made perfectly sure and did a lot to keep Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett on the Cowboys sidelines and calling plays. Jones gave Garrett a $3 million annually salary to keep him away from Baltimore and becoming head coach of the Ravens. He then made a few more phone calls and traded out three draft picks and a $45 million contract for Detroit Lions ... (link)
