Ex-O's scout linked to sports betting

Veteran scout Alan Marr was fired by the Baltimore Orioles earlier this month after Major League Baseball's newly formed investigative unit tied his name to sports betting, sources with knowledge of the investigation told SI.com. More scouts could soon be named as well, those sources said.

WMYM knows that Clay Buchholz's stuff is as good as anyone else on the Sox staff. We know he brings an electricity with the potential for a no-hitter every time out, and he could easily hit a second half groove that makes him an invaluable addition to the Boston rotation.But as things stand now, we can't figure out how he's a better bet than Justin Masterson for a start every fifth day.
