Now that Andy Pettitte has signed back on with the Yankees the next big thing to talk about in Yankeeland is Joe Torre’s new book.
If you are interested you can read an excerpt here . This section mostly talks about October 2007, immediately after the Yankees lost to the Cleveland Indians. Take a look if you are on the bubble when it comes to buying the book.
I’m definitely buying the book. Not to read this stuff or the publicized BS, but because I’m a big Yankee fan and I want to hear about everything since 2001.
Think about it, there is a lot of stuff goes into these decisions and Torre has a lot of incite. To me all the stuff the tabloids are exploiting isn’t that interesting, but it’s the entire story that appeals to me. Like I said in the last post about the book, I’ll have a book report shortly after the book comes out.

community.thetimes-tribune.com 1/27/2009 — Andy Pettitte is back with the Yankees . Although I stand by what I wrote two days ago -- my guess is Phil Hughes will put up better big league numbers than Pettitte this year -- it's hard to hate a $5.5 million deal that's heavy on incentives. If ...
