The sound of thousands of New Yorkers booing echoed its
way up Sixth Avenue, so that the fans standing at the corner of 42nd and Sixth had a pretty good idea of what was coming long before the truck carrying Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia came into view.

According to a report on ESPN radio 1050, Francisco Rodriguez (otherwise known as K-Rod) has announced that he will be filing for free agency at the end of this season. He wants to test the market. He will not re-sign with the Angels. Now on ESPN they were saying Billy Wagner's contract is up at the end of this year and it would be a good idea for the Mets to get him. They were mistaken.
