Favre leaves with elbow injury

 
Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre left Thursday night's NFC showdown with the Dallas Cowboys with a right elbow injury after being hit hard while throwing a pass that was intercepted. Favre was hurt with 10:11 left in the second quarter when he was hit by cornerback Nate Jones. Terence Newman made a diving interception of the fluttering pass. Favre got up and flexed his arm and grabbed at his wrist while walking slowly to the sideline. [link]

Bryant Gumbel on NFL Network, the cure for insomnia

Good grief, does this guy realize he's on tv? I've seen more life in moldy lindburger cheese. Cris Collinsworth isn't an energetic guy to begin with, but he sounds downright vivacious compared to the "boring one". Gumbel (of Gumbel 2 Gumbel fame) sounds like a constipated accountant talking about dance moves. Good thing all you Green Bay fans got satellite tv!

The game started with a nice tribute to Sean Taylor who lost his life on Tuesday. It’s such a tragic and sad story and I wish nothing but the best for Taylor’s girlfriend and child.
