Roger Federer defeated the 49th-ranked Janko Tipsarevic to advance to the fourth round of the Australian Open. It sounds like it was an amazing match, especially with the 10-8 final set. Unfortunately this type of ending could never happen at the US Open since the final set is determined by a tie-breaker. The US Open would be even better if they followed the same format as the other 3 majors.
