The beat-up field at St. Jakob-Park will be replaced before Thursday's European Championship quarterfinal between Portugal and Germany, Austria or Poland. Rain has repeatedly fallen on the field in recent weeks, including a downpour during Turkey's victory over Switzerland last Wednesday. At halftime of Switzerland's 2-0 win over Portugal on Sunday night, workers were on the field replacing divots.

Croatia are already home and dry and in the quarter finals as group winners but Poland still have the slimmest chances of joining them. They need to beat Croatia today and hope that Germany lost to Austria PLUS bettering Austria's score against Germany. It's a tall order for Poland but as long as they have a chance they will keep on fighting. Watch Croatia Vs Poland Live Online at LoveFooty.netEuro 2008 - Half-Term Report
