Fighting Illini Hope to Be Braggin' for at Least One More Year

 
With Alex Legion finally coming off the bench on Dec. 20 against Detroit-Mercy, Legion scored six points in his Illinois debut. Legion will be a huge scoring threat off the bench, but maybe not for long. At the start at the second half, Bruce Weber sat Illinois sophomores Demetri McCamey and Mike Davis on the bench because they weren't playing their potential. The Braggin' Rights renewal Tuesday, Dec. 23, will be played at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis between the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Missouri Tigers. The Illini currently hold an eight-game winning streak against the Tigers and hope to continue it. The surprising success of Davis will help the Illini compete with the Tigers. Davis is the Illini's leading scorer with 14.9 points per game. The winner of the Braggin' Rights game could eventually make a Top 25 berth.
