Florida Panthers Back on the Prowl in First Preseason Game against Calgary

 
The preseason has already begun, and the Florida Panthers are back on the prowl. The Panthers will take on the Calgary Flames in the first game of Florida's preseason. Young Panthers prospects Shawn Matthias and Michael Frolik have looked exceptional in training camp. These young players will be heavily relied on this season to put up solid offensive numbers. Goaltender Tomas Vokoun has been equally good in camp. Vokoun will hopefully suffer through fewer shots then he did last season, where he faced the most shots in the league. The Calgary Flames are a tough, hard-working team that will provide an excellent test for the Panthers in their first preseason game. Florida's revamped defense will be relied on to keep superstar Jarome Iginla in check. Players like Michael Cammalleri and Daymond Langkow will also have to be covered tightly to ensure a win for the Panthers.
