Floyd barely misses no hitter in Sox win

 
Gavin Floyd nearly took his success against Detroit to a new level. Floyd held the Tigers hitless until Edgar Renteria singled with one out in the eighth inning Saturday and pitched the Chicago White Sox to a 7-0 victory. Floyd (2-0) had never pitched more than seven innings in the majors. [link]
