Former Argentina defender Caceres near death (AP)

A player from Argentina's 1994 World Cup team is near death with a bullet in his head after resisting a carjacking. Ramon Carrillo Hospital says Fernando Caceres is in grave condition. He was shot in the head early Sunday after a group of carjackers tried to steal his BMW in the Argentine capital.
