Tonight was the start of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers. The Penguins take Game 1, 4-2. The first period was very entertaining with five goals scored in the period. Evgeni Malkin added two goals and added a helper. Sid the Kid added a nice tip in goal that was assisted by Marian Hossa. The Pittsburgh Penguins continued their unbeaten record at home in these playoffs as they beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday night. There was a great deal of hype coming into this series, and there was plenty of reasons for it. Everyone on both sides on The Battle of Pennsylvania couldn’t wait until Friday arrived to see what would happen in the first game.
