Gabbard lifted early with back spasms

Rangers pitcher Kason Gabbard left his start against the Red Sox in the bottom of the third inning with back spasms on Monday. Gabbard had pitched two scoreless innings, then came out to warm up for the third inning. But before he threw his first pitch to the leadoff hitter, he came off the mound and was taken out of the game. [link]
