Game Day: Giants (5-2) at Eagles (4-2)

There must be something going on here in Philadelphia this morning. Everybody seems a little excited. The parking lots are pretty packed 4 1/2 hours before game, despite the misty rain outside. At the moment, I’m inside, literally sitting at a bar — McFadden’s — inside Citizen’s Bank Park, where I’m told there’ll be a baseball game played here later today. Someone has already come in, dressed in Phillies gear, asking for a drink. Never mind that it’s only 8:30 a.m. The beer tap opens at 10, by the way. In the meantime, I’m listening to Seth Everett and Jody MacDonald on ESPN Radio in New York (1050 AM) . They’ve already started the Sports Reporters Roundtable, and I’ll be joining them at 9 to talk about today’s “other” game.
