Georgetown Basketball: Year In Review

 
Hoya Basketball had yet another great season. The Hoyas Finished up at 28-6 and 15-3 in the Big East only to be to denied the confrence title by way of Pittsburgs almost flawless play and only to be denied a trip to the Sweet Sixteen after Stephen Curry led his Davidson Team to the upset of the Hoyas. The Six-foot sophmore had 30 points against the Hoyas, 25 of which coming in the second half. Leading The Georgetown team this year were, 1st Junior Jessie Sapp who played and started all 34 games this year for the hoyas. Averaging .438 from the field and averaging almost 10 points a game. Secondly for the Hoyas, Roy Hibbert, The senior leader gave the team the boost they needed sometimes. Shooting 60% from the field and Averaging 13.5 points a game, anytime Hibbert was out of foul trouble and in the mix, Georgetown was firing on all cylinders. Last But Not Least is Patrick Ewing Jr. ,shooting 53% and putting up 6 points a game and grabbing 143 rebounds along with Hibbets 216, they were a force to ... [link]

A Shady Victory

The only thing you cannot say is that Davidson outplayed Georgetown. What you can say is that the officials - Tom O'Neill, Paul Janssen, Doug Sirmons - of the Georgetown-Davidson game cheated; the game was fixed; the officials are racist; all of the former. Call it what you want but those three officials did not want the Georgetown Hoyas to defeat the Davidson Wildcats.
