According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Giants are expected to make a run at Red Sox outfielder Jason Bay when he becomes a free agent this offseason.
Bay hit .267 and set career highs with 36 homers and 119 RBIs this season. He would bring some much-needed offense to a club that finished last in the majors in on-base percentage (.309) and OPS (.699), 29th in homers (122) and 26th in runs (657).
