Giants' preseason opener moved to Detroit

They will now play at Detroit in their preseason opener on Thursday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. They were originally scheduled to open their preseason slate at Carolina two days later. The NFL’s release said it was done “to accommodate stadium availability and local television partner commitments.” This also means the Giants could open training camp two days earlier (Yea, more time in Albany!!!). They are allowed to open training camp 15 days before their preseason opener, which means camp can open as early as July 23. So, those of you who had already booked your flights to Carolina … well, too bad for you.  ... [link]
