Giants sign Rowand, end pursuit of Yankees' Matsui

 
The Yankees may be about through with major offseason moves. They had been talking to the Giants about trading Hideki Matsui, but the Giants' acquisition of free-agent outfielder Aaron Rowand yesterday ended those discussions. (link)
