General Manager Phil Savage has signed a three-year contract extension with the Cleveland Browns, the team announced today. The deal runs through the 2012 season. Savage was hired by the Browns from the Baltimore Ravens' front office in January 2005 and has overseen a rebuilding project that resulted in the club going 10-6 last season and just missing the AFC playoffs.
