Gomez remains day-to-day

 
Quick hit from the practice rink today: No Scott Gomez again, and no Markus Naslund on the ice, either. Gomez is still feeling sore from a leg ailment that has kept him out of the last two games. Once again, he’ll see how it feels tomorrow morning before everyone decides whether he can go against Ottawa (well, not everyone; you and I don’t get a vote), but Tom Renney said “it’s unlikely.” Naslund is fine, just nursing a bruise. Renney on Gomez: “I haven’t been given a time frame, and Rammer (trainer Jim Ramsay) is content with day-to-day, so that’s where it is. At the end of the day, it could end up being a week or even longer, I’m not sure. It’s how he responds each morning to determine what happens here.” Gomez on Gomez: “Just a little sore, still day-to-day. We’ll see what happens tomorrow, try it again. … You just wish it would go a little quicker, but you just gotta be patient with it. … Something ... (link)
