Adrian Gonzalez is in the starting lineup for the San Diego Padres a night after straining his right knee while sliding into third base. Gonzalez says he convinced manager Bud Black that he was OK to play against the Houston Astros on Wednesday night. On Tuesday night, he hit an RBI triple off Mike Hampton with one out in the fourth and slid hard into third.
