Green Bay's Rodgers Silences the Critics and the Comparisons

 
Favre, Schmavre! Wasn't it just a few short months ago that the Green Bay Packers were in the middle of a quarterback controversy?  The legend known as Brett Favre deciding to come out of retirement, or Aaron Rodgers, the heir apparent who was told that this season was his?  When Rodgers was the clear choice, all hell broke loose.  Some fans jumped ship for the Jets; some just called for Ted Thompson's job.  Some, however, believed this was the right choice. The latter look pretty smart right about now. While many doubted whether or not the team could stay competitive with the yet untested Rodgers at the helm, I and several other fans were excited to see what the fourth-year man from Cal could do.  Despite that his performance would undoubtedly (and unfairly) be compared to Favre, Rodgers has thrived in the offense this season.
