Griffey sneaks up on 600 home runs

 
Ken Griffey Jr. almost inched closer to his milestone in the first game Saturday, grazing the rightfield fence for a double in the eighth inning. That kept him at 597 career home runs entering the second game Saturday night, and was a reminder of how prolific Griffey is and how much more he could have been. [link]
