Grizzlies-Knicks: Memphis Loses in a Three-for-All
You saw it here yesterday and it came true last night, the Grizzlies are missing a pure “drop the three-ball” shooter. The Knicks won, 132-103.
It is ironic last night that, across from the Knicks bench, fans in the section were given “3” signs. The Knicks took this to heart and proceeded to knock down 19 three-pointers while the Grizzlies connected on only five from long range.
Perhaps the fan patrol should move the signs to across from the Grizzlies bench. It was definitely a shooting gallery for the Knicks last night, as Nate Robinson was 5-of-5, Wilson Chandler hit 4-of-4, and even former Grizzlie Anthony Roberson was 3-of-3.
For the Grizzlies, OJ Mayo, Rudy Gay, and Marc Gasol had respectable nights (17, 20, and 16 points, respectively), but were unable to stop the perimeter shooting that even saw Zach Randolph knock down a shot from behind the arc.
