Hansbrough makes up his mind, too many others don't

 
The biggest news in college basketball today occurred when Tyler Hansbrough, North Carolina’s 6-9 consensus All-American, told Roy Williams he would return for his senior year. At the same time, his two teammates - sophomore guards Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington - have opted to test the waters to determine their draft value. This is getting ridiculous. Too many players are declaring for the NBA draft for a first time, then waiting until June to decide whether they want to stay in, provided they have not signed with an agent. Consider the four teams in the Final Four: All four underclass starters from Memphis - Derrick Rose, Chris Douglas Roberts, Antonio Anderson and Robert Dozier - four from UCLA - Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, Darren Collison and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute - two from Kansas - Darrell Arthur and Mario Chalmers - and now two from Carolina are all going this route. This has to drive college coaches crazy. It’s time for the NCAA to put a limit on this window ... (link)
