Has Anyone Seen Steven Stamkos?

 
Seen Stamkos? I know I haven't. For a projected franchise player, Steven Stamkos hasn't really blown anyone's socks off. The rookie has a humiliating zero points after six games. I'm sorry, but when I think of "undisputed" first overall picks like Stamkos, I think of Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby. It may just be a slump, but right now it's looking like Steven may have been the wrong choice for the Bolts, who have a below average back end. A pick like Drew Doughty, Alex Pietranglo, or Luke Schenn may have benefited the Lightning more than another forward to throw on their shelf. Granted, Stamkos is dealing with limited ice time under coach Melrose, but shouldn't superstars be able to produce even with less ice time? If Ovechkin had five minutes shaved off his total ice time every game, wouldn't you still expect him to put on a show with his goal scoring ability?
