Hawks and Celtics Overshadow Chris Pauls New Steals Record
Last night against the San Antonio Spurs, Chris Paul broke the 22-year-old record for steals in consecutive games. The record was 105 games in a row, but Chris Paul set a new record with 106 in a row. Paul had 19 points, 12 assists, and 3 steals in the game. The talk of the night wasn't this game, it was the game before. The Celtics against the Atlanta Hawks. It was a match up that was anticipated to be one of the most interesting games of the year, and it proved to be. The game ended 88-85, a Celtics’ win that just happened to be their 24th of the year and their 16th straight. The scoring went back-and-forth through the whole game. The Celtics narrowly escaped hitting a couple shots and sinking their free—throws at the end. This was a playoff rematch from the first round of the Easter Conferance a year ago.
