Hedo Turkoglu Signs With The Portland Trail Blazers

According to Henry Abbott of espn.go.com, Hedo Turkoglu and the Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to a deal in principle. The contract specifics such has Turkoglu's salary, and the length of his contract will not be released until the NBA announces the new salary cap for the 2009-2010 season. The signing will most likely mean one of the Blazers' three small forwards will not be in a Blazers uniform next season, as Travis Outlaw, Nicolas Batum and Martell Webster are all under contract. There have been rumors starting up that Portland could trade Travis Outlaw and either Steve Blake or Jerryd Bayless to the Chicago Bulls for Kirk Hinrich. What we do know is that Hedo Turkoglu will play for the Blazers next season. General manager Kevin Pritchard saw who he liked, and make all the right moves to grab him. All that is left to do is for Blazers faithful to await Pritchard's next move. (link)
