North Carolina (13-0) prepared for the game against Valparaiso (10-3) knowing they’d be without Bobby Frasor, who’s out for the season with a torn ACL. However, they found themselves without their other backup point guard when Quentin Thomas sprained an ankle. This made for a lot of adjusting for head coach Roy Williams.

UNC beats Kent State 90-61, heads to conference play unbeaten

For anyone that watched the North Carolina (14-0) game against Kent State (10-3), which ended 90 to 61 for the Heels, you have to admit it wasn’t the same feeling as the rest of the season has been. Head coach Roy Williams didn’t have the same number of players coming off the bench as he usually does and unfortunately that trend will last for a while.
