If Troy Smith Wants To Be A Starter, He Needs To Take Advantage Now

 
Ravens quarterback Troy Smith has yet another shot to run away with the Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback job. Last week against Minnesota, Smith started, went 3-5 with an interception and came out. He will start again this week against the St. Louis Rams. This could be a turning point in whoever the quarterback may be. However, Smith played just one half last week. Smith could play as long as three quarters in this week's game at St. Louis. "We need to find out more about Troy Smith," Harbaugh said. "He needs reps with the [starters]. He needs them against a defense in a third preseason game where they're game-planning him a little bit. We'll see how he does." Ravens coaches and players alike love Troy Smith's athleticism, something Joe Flacco and Kyle Boller can't touch. It seems Harbaugh and other Ravens coaches are trying to give other quarterbacks a shot, but want Troy to start. He is much more athletic than Flacco and Boller.
