Indy plans to bid for 2012 Super Bowl (AP)

A delegation from Indianapolis will travel to Arizona this week for the Super Bowl, with an eye toward the city making a bid for the 2012 game. Those making the trip plan to meet with NFL officials to update the bid Indianapolis made last year, when it lost out to Dallas in a 17-15 vote among league owners for the 2011 Super Bowl.

Former NFL player Alonzo Spellman was arrested after Tulsa police fired pepper-spray pellets into his car following a nearly 20-minute pursuit.
