Injuries plague Boeheim's Syracuse squad (AP)

 
Jim Boeheim hasn't seen anything like it in his more than three decades of coaching at Syracuse. Injuries are turning up everywhere, and this may be the first time he's lost a key starter to an injury so early in a season "You coach the guys you have," Boeheim said. If Eric Devendorf's absence was supposed to send the Orange into a tailspin, it certainly didn't show tonight. The Orange cruised to their 42nd consecutive win over Colgate by a score of 87-59.

In that interview with Katz in yesterday's links, Boeheim tells Andy that “he firmly believed Devendorf was going to declare for the NBA draft after this season, but now he'll have to stay to rehab his knee.” Wait…ERIC Devendorf? Considering early entry into the draft? The NBA draft? Not the army one, right?

Syracuse beats Colgate, but does not answer the post Devo questions

Last nights game brought some good news to the Syracuse Orange. The first is that they won, beating Colgate 87-59 and bringing their record to 8 and 3. They played well against a much weaker team and they did what they needed to do in order to win (I will go over my keys a bit later).
