Inside the Matchups: ALDS Game 4s

 
Two series down, two to go. One set of Sox trying to save its season, another trying to move on. Should be an interesting day of American League baseball today. Let's check out the matchups. RAYS AT WHITE SOX, GAME 4, 5:07 P.M. RAYS LEAD SERIES, 2-1 Tampa Bay: Andy Sonnanstine (13-9, 4.38) The 25-year-old righthander is making his first start since September 26, and has to be hoping that he'll benefit from the extended rest. Sonnanstine closed out the season by struggling over his last seven starts, going 0-3 with a 4.39 ERA after a 13-6 victory over the Angels on August 18. The winless streak started in Chicago, where Sonnanstine got a no-decision after pitching 6.1 innings and allowing four runs on nine hits, including homers by Jim Thome and the now-injured Carlos Quentin. Sonnanstine fared much better in his other two starts against the White Sox, both in Florida -- he tossed a three-hit shutout on April 19 and gave up three runs over 5.2 innings in a no-decision on June 1, a game the ...
