Iowa Defeats Penn State: A Fan's Eye View

  Let me be among the many to applaud such splendid articles as Iowa Kicker’s Dream Realized in Win Over Penn State by Daniel Cox of B/R and our own Baby Tate’s The 11 Best of 11s of College Football, Week 12: Down Goes Penn State .  Kudos, gentlemen.  Good writing, good reporting on a real fairy-tale- of-an-ending story! But you will forgive me for stating that this is my story and even though you beat me to the punch, so to speak…I deserve this one because I have suffered in the Iowa trenches all season long, waiting for this  moment of justification and glory!  It is mine because I have been writing about Iowa and predicting great things from them since mid-season.  In the process I have been ridiculed and scoffed at while you have enjoyed Iowa anonymity waiting for some bit of breaking news.  I have been baited and denigrated for my assurances that Iowa was a winner.  After the momentous game was over I was held ...
