Is Joba Chamberlain the new A-Rod?

 
Alex Rodriguez going on the disabled list has left a huge void, not just in the Yankee lineup, but in the all-important Designated Yankee Punching Bag/Scapegoat category. Other teams who use A-Rod as the catchall Yankee to hate have been trying to fill the void somehow. And it looks like they’ve found a new target - Joba Chamberlain. Joba blew the game Tuesday by giving up a three-run homer to former Yankee David Dellucci. So when Chamberlain struck him out Thursday to end the eighth inning, Joba pumped his fist in excitement. Dellucci was not amused, saying : “That’s what gets him going and that’s what everybody likes to see, but if a hitter was to do something like that they’d probably say it was ‘bush (league)’ and you shouldn’t do it,” Dellucci said. “It’s kind of funny how a pitcher can get away with it.” Last Yankee to get called “bush” was A-Rod, of course!
