This is what Dolan said on the day he jumped the gun and gave Isiah Thomas a contract extension because the Knicks spent 24 whole hours in eighth place. (I was pushing for a statue to be erected in front of Madison Square Garden.) When I re-read these comments yesterday I become more convinced that there is really no saving the Knicks.
If Dolan follows through on his plan to hire Kiki Vandeweghe and retain Isiah as head coach, the next time ...
