Gotta love those 3 seeds, right? Pitino's has his Cardinals into the Elite 8 as a three season after a victory over Tennessee last night. Great defense effort last night by the Cards holding Chris Lofton to a 3-15 night in the field, although he managed to end up with 15 points. Five different players appeared in double figures last night for the Cardinals as their ability to move the ball on the floor and spread the court will make them a really tough out for North Carolina. .  Xavier pulled through in overtime last night as the Musketeers advanced to the Elite 8 after beating West Virginia. Drew Lavender struggled from the field shooting 3-11 ending up with 9 points. Musketeers senior forward added a season high 26 points to lead the Musketeers to victory. I had Xavier going to the Elite 8 in my bracket as I don't really see them having a chance playing with UCLA, way to tough defensively. .
